Human review (of AI conversations)

Human review is vendor staff or contractors reading sampled user conversations for quality and safety — meaning a person, not just a model, may see what was pasted.

Several AI providers sample conversations for human review — to rate responses, tune safety systems, and investigate abuse. Reviewed excerpts may be retained separately and longer than normal chat history, sometimes surviving user deletion.

Human review changes the privacy analysis: a paste is no longer only machine-processed, it may be read by a person outside the organization. Enterprise tiers typically exclude review or restrict it contractually; consumer settings pages document it, briefly and quietly.
