Automated redaction identifies sensitive elements in text — names, account numbers, health details, credentials — and strips or replaces them before the text is stored or transmitted. Applied at the AI prompt, it lets the request proceed with placeholders while the identifying data never leaves.
Redaction beats blocking because it preserves the productivity: the employee still gets the summary or the debug help, minus the client name and the API key. Placement matters — redaction after submission is logging; redaction before submission is prevention.
