Is Midjourney safe for confidential data?
Midjourney is public by default: on standard plans, prompts and generated images are visible to the community, and generations in shared Discord channels are visible to everyone present. Its terms also grant Midjourney broad rights over prompts and outputs, which it may use to improve its services. A prompt describing an unannounced product, a client's campaign, or a real person is effectively published the moment it's submitted — the privacy 'Stealth Mode' exists only on the top-tier plans.

Are Midjourney prompts private?
Not on standard plans — prompts and the resulting images appear in community-visible feeds, and anything generated in a shared Discord channel is visible there. Only the top-tier plans' Stealth Mode keeps generations out of public view.
What business data leaks through an image prompt?
Prompts are text like any other: unannounced product names and descriptions, client campaign concepts, real people's names and likenesses. Employees rarely register that an image tool's prompt box is a publication channel.
Can Midjourney be used safely at work?
